NMEE ELECTION 2008

Dear Basque Club Members and Friends,

NMEE needs YOU, your ideas, and your enthusiasm for its 2009 Board of Directors!

Nominations may come from anyone interested in the club, and self-nomination is encouraged. Nomination forms may be sent by mail with the enclosed form, or you may email your nominations to lisa@buber.net. The deadline for nominations is August 31.

Any member of NMEE in good standing may run for office. Members in good standing as of Sept 21, 2008 will vote by numbered ballot mailed to each member's address of record. Votes will be cast by mail in sealed envelopes, and votes will be opened and counted at the Meeting of the Membership in November (sorry mail only, no email for voting).

Per our bylaws, the 2008 President, Samuel Ulibarri, will rotate into the position of 2009 Past-President. We will elect a President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and four Directors for the 2009 Board. Please see the back of the enclosed nomination form for more information on each of these roles. Modifications to the club's by-laws may also be presented to the membership for approval.
