CHARAIZ
The origins of this surname are found in Berriz (Vizcaya).
It is a derrivitive of the name Chara, with the suffix "iz" which
denotes abundance. This may also be a patronimic name (house of Chara).
Another author suggests that it may be a variation of Araiz.
