GARROVILLO
The surname Garrovillo could have originated from the region of Extramadura, South of Spain, where in the old city of Cacerez and Badajoa, the towns Garrovillas and La Garrovilla are found, respectively. However the name itself is Basque in origin and was formed by the union of two names; Garro and Villo. The Garro Surname derives from an ancient and noble French lineage whose ancestral house was Castillo Garro located in the Pyrenees. The Spanish surname Villo is mostly found in the regions of Vizcaya and Navarra.
