LARRAGOITE (LARRAGOITI)
There are houses found in Lezama, Zamudio, Sopelana, Bilbao
and Basauri (all of these are in Vizcaya).
The name comes from "Larre" or "Larra" which means pasture
and "goiti" which means the highest or top part.
The coat of arms is divided into two halves vertically. The
left half has a field of red with a gold castle on it. The
right half is also red and it contains a chain of eight
links around this half only is a border of red with eight
golden "aspas" (a symbol in the shape of an "x").
