LLONA
Originates in Gamiz and in Uribe (both in Vizcaya).
The surname comes from "llo" (meaning a pasture, grazing area) and the
suffix "ona" (which denotes place).
The coat of Arms (from Vizcaya): A field of silver on which two grey
wolves are in the posture of jumping (one a little above the other).
There is a blue border with eight aspas (form of "x") in gold.
A variation is a quartered shield with the 1st and 4th quadrant in red
with a golden griffin on each. The 2nd and 3rd are silver each with two
black wolves in the attitude of walking and positioned one above the
other.
