LORDA Jaime kerexeta says in his book Lorda: In Nabarra and Laburdi
(documented in 1774)
Coat of Arms: En azur, sobre ondas de azur y plata, un delfin, y
cabalgandolo un ninio (ninho), con un dardo en su diestra (What a strange
coat !)
I think that the origin is Hasparren in Laburdi, because there are a placed
named like so. Lasa (in basque) or Lasse (in French) is located in
Behenabarra, one of the basque french provinces, and very close to Donibane
Garazi(St Jean de Pied de Port)
Meaning: can be something like "wood place", but I think that it is a
variation of ELORDIA or ELORDA with the meaning of "Hawthorn place" or
black thorn place
