OJEMBARRENA
The origin of this surname is in the Province of Vizcaya. It is a
variation of the surname Ojambarrena.
The meaning comes from oian (meaning forest) and barren (meaning below
or the lower part). It includes the article -a. So it gives the
connotation of a forest located in the foothills (rather than on the
mountain).
