This surname originates in Vizcaya and is also found in Argentina.

According to Lopez Mendizabal the name means "carrascal" (a mountain
with a lot of small oak trees). from "abar" (carrasca) and the suffix
denoting location "te."

Originally in Angiozar (Anguiozar) Guipuzcoa.
Same meaning as above.
The coat of arms is described as follows: On a field of gold, a red
horizontal band across the middle of the sheild accompanied by two eight
pointed stars of the same red color one above the band and one below it.
