The closest I could come to finding this surname was CHIBAU (TXIBO) and
all that was written about it is as follows:
En Sara (Laburdi) en 1609. According to Lopez Mendizabal the meaning may
be "Juncal" (which means a place of reeds) that would come from "Ubi"
reedy, and the suffix denoting locality "o" with a "ch" or in this case
a protetic "tx" sound.
