Urteaga

Urteaga

Interpretation
Urteaga could mean something like flood or place of hazel trees.

Donna Urteaga writes My father has done some research on our surname, but the translations are a little differant from yours. What he found said that Urteaga meant some about fields of gold or wheat & comes from a small village with that name somewhere neer San Sabastian. The crest he found shows a green tree with 2 pots (of goldi think) hanging from it with 2 black wolves standing on thier hind legs like guards.
