ZAMBRANA Is the name of a village of Alava (documented since 1058 with the
name of Zembrana), and of course the origin of the family is located there,
but there is documented a branche of this family in Gipuzkoa in 1627, other
branche went to Andalucia.
Proves of Nobility: There are a lot: Valladolid 1731, Knight of Santiago,
Knight of Calatrava in 1627, 1633, 1640, 1649, 1652. Knight of Alcantara in
1638 and 1805, Knight of San Juan de Jerusalen 1625.
Coat of arms: En Plata un Castillo de Gules almenado de tres piezas,
superada la del centro de una rosa de gules y las otras dos de una estrella
de azur cada una. Bordura de azur con ocho aspas de oro, alternando con
cada una de las letras de la palabra ZAMBRANO
