by Larry Trask
|Larry Trask, a world expert on Basque linguistics and the history of the Basque language, passed away on March 28, 2004. This is an archive of his site, including his Basque pages, posted here with permission of his family.|

As you'll see from the accompanying Basque pages, I have a special
interest in the Basque language, especially in its history and
prehistory. Otherwise, I'm largely a historical linguist, and I work
chiefly on historical morphology and syntax, occasionally on phonology.
My other interests are grammar, typology and universals.
